  WT Cool Winter Nights
Posted by: Zzz - 11-15-2008 03:03 PM - Replies (8)
0Things are starting to take off again here at WT! With the release of a new competitive game, a lot of players are back and thirsting for blood.

Hence, I am here to announce WT Cool Winter Nights.

Two nights a week, wtclan.com will be the place to be.

We will be having COD5 practice, along with WT (and friends) only Brawl tournaments.

It is important our Brawl division regroups, and we start jingle jangling around the community. Our national tournament in June is still being designed, I have a second conference call with the NVGA this weekend. I have many key players on board, that I am not going to yet make public. I want our Brawl division to get amped and get to know each other very well so we can make this tournament a success and make ourselves famous.

WT Cool Winter Nights will be:
Mondays and Thursdays.
Brawl tournaments will be starting at 4pm pacific / 7 eastern
COD5 practice will be starting at 8pm pacific / 11pm eastern

Tournaments will have a 32 player cap. The first Monday tournament will be singles, and Thursday is doubles, then every week we will alternate in case someone can not make a certain day. WT members receive priority registration. Non WT can join the tournaments if there are remaining spots.

The first Cool Winter Night will be this Monday, the 17th of November

I want to see our chat rooms PACKED on these nights, so that if I invite an online sponsor to check out our community, they can see what type of following we have.

Also weekends are a great time to come and get some games in.

So get your egg nog, fill your stockings, and stuff your turkies, its game time at WTCLAN.

  Happy Holidays

0The holiday season approaches. Remember, you're only young once, so enjoy it

Make sure to post pics and vids of your holidays here on the site. It will be a good way to learn about the many cultures of a lion.

WT's Birthday and Other Important Updates
Posted by: Zzz - 08-14-2008 02:50 PM - Replies (24)
0First, of all, WT's Birthday is approaching. The clan was officially formed on August 15, 2007.

Second, as some of you may have noticed, the site temporarily went down today (13th) due to problems with renewing the domain. All is well now, obviously.

The cost for renewal was just under 10 dollars.

For the last 2 months we have been participating in Google's Adsense program. When people click our ads, we have the potential to get paid. Right now, we have made just OVER 10 bucks. So the site is currently paying for itself. Hopefully this inspires more of you to click ads when you get a chance. It would be great to have the domain AND the hosting paid simply through ad clicks.

WT BIRTHDAY PARTY

On the 15th, I expect everyone to be in party mode. The 15th is a Friday. So, that night, everyone who can drink or get sloshed SHOULD be doing so. I won't be home from work until around 6pm pacific, and that is when MY partying will begin. I have a special suprise lined up for everyone, and I hope some of you will plan some special things to. Give a present to the site or to the members.

I am appointing [wt] Jontaru as the Birthday Party headmaster because he is from Ohio.

For most of us, WT is not just an internet site, but it is our way of life. Do not brush this off, this night should have more importance to you than ANY holiday. You did not help build Christmas, you were not a Pilgrim at Thanksgiving, and you did not help found your country.

But you have helped develop WT, into the greatest collective force ever to hit Nintendo. Our competitors have come and gone. Talked and lost. We have only crushed them. Your attendance will be a mark on your soul. Your grandchildren will look into your eyes and know that you were once a champion, a restless beast, a WT.

FREE CASH PRIZE TOURNAMENT - CLASH OF THE LIONS - JUNE 22
Posted by: Zzz - 06-19-2008 06:28 PM - Replies (9)
0WT's Battle of the Lions series is currently the internet's most prestigious invite only competitive smash environment.

We hope to expand our regular tournament member base by holding a free entry, cash prize tournament.

Our tournaments run quickly and smoothly. Our site features an automated league/tournament system, allowing players to enter their own scores and update the tournament ladder.

WT focuses on top level, intelligent gameplay. We do not allow low tier players in our tournaments. We like competitive smashers, with methodical playing styles. Since we only allow active, reliable, and GOOD players in our tournaments, they run well and get our participants great experience.

They are also a good way to meet and greet with some of the best players in the game.

League Overhaul & Wagering Clan Points
Posted by: yatzr - 04-14-2008 01:05 AM - Replies (18)
I made some major changes to the League. You can see these changes on your "My Matches" page. I rewrote pretty much everything handling the league matches, and it should now be more robust, and I think it looks better this way too. Let me know what you guys think. Also let me know if you find anything that doesn't seem to be working right.

Also, you can now wager clan points in your league matches. To do so, simply check the box "Include a Wager" and enter an amount before submitting the challenge. If you or your opponent have less points than the amount you entered, it will let you know and it won't issue the challenge. Once you've issued the challenge, the points will be deducted from both you and your opponent. If your opponent declines the challenge, the points will be issued back. Once the match is verified, the winner will receive their points back along with the wagered points of the other player. If you have a match with wagered clan points and never play it, you will not get your points back. Enjoy the new feature!

  Clan Points Recalculated
Posted by: DaWhit - 04-05-2008 08:03 AM - Replies (47)
0Apparently some people were getting clan points the wrong way so I had to recalculate them to what they should be, thanks.

Also, this was Warwick's fault so blame him Tongue.
